Altar Society

Book-A-Month
We meet at the Rectory on the last Sunday of the month to discuss a book that we have read.
Our next meeting will be Sunday Sept. 27th at 6:30 pm in the Rectory. We will be discussing the book Martyrs of the Eucharist by Fr. J. Francis Sofie, OP. This examines the lives of many whose love for Jesus in the Eucharist led them to the ultimate sacrifice.
Our book for the month of October is Incredible Catholic America. This book weaves stories about men and women in America who kept and transmitted the faith around trivia that includes the weirdest, tallest, smallest, oddest facts about the Catholic Church in America.
Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization, founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney to provide financial aid to members and their families and to perform charitable works. The organization’s mission is based on the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Today, it serves its communities through activities like community meals, parish events, and financial support to Catholic institutions. Membership is limited to practicing Catholic men.
St. Stephen in Exeter and St. Wenceslaus in Milligan, together with St. Joseph in Friend, make up Council #11822. If you would be interested in joining our group, you can contact us here.
